I found this petition on another blog. Please read and sign ESPECIALLY if you have been effected by:
- low appraisals
- inaccurate information (such as utilities off when they are on)
- crazy repairs (outside of the norm)
- timeframes for returning reports are inadequate
- deadlines for reports are being missed (by a long shot!)
Some of the above bullet points are KILLING deals and buyers are being charged per diem just to wait on appraisals and re-inspections. Sellers are losing money from longer closes because of holding costs.
MAKE SURE YOU LEAVE SPECIFIC COMMENTS! There is a place that you can tell your story! Let's DO IT!

It's getting nuts out there. I had an FHA transaction that someone suggested an environmental. A couple thousand transactions and I have to say this was a first.
Ill head over and take a look. My biggest complaint is cost so far.The values in my area have held great so that end hasn't been an issue.
We've had several negative experiences already. I'm heading over right now. Thanks for the information.

Renee: So far, I haven't had any issues with HVCC. I signed the petition but have found values to be fine. Our automated underwriting system even flags properties it deems to be over-valued. Granted, it only takes one to get people's dander up. Perhaps I've been lucky! I'll keep you posted.
