IKEA USA Plans to Park Their Buns & Balls in Las Vegas in 2016

Ikea’s Famous Cinnamon Buns, Swedish Meatballs, Gadgets and Furniture Coming to Las Vegas

IKEA USA announced via it’s facebook page and a press release that they are planning to bring their famous cinnamon buns, swedish meatballs, gadgets and inexpensive furniture to Southwest Las Vegas!

Proposed opening is Summer 2016.

The proposed site of the Sunset & Durango corner is the site formerly known as the proposed site for “The Curve” which was supposed to be an upscale mid-rise condominium development before the great Las Vegas real estate crash.  The development area is right off of the 215 & Durango/Sunset exits which is less than 5 miles to the popular Rhodes Ranch and Summerlin South master planned community areas of Las Vegas.  (Oh and less than 5 minutes from my house to those heavenly cinnamon rolls!)

This is excellent news for the future economy of Southwest Las Vegas!  Cheers to IKEA USA for seeing the potential of doing business in the great state of Nevada and taking a gamble on us!

Here is a photo of the proposed site that I took just the other day:

Good morning Renee. These guys have marketing down pretty well. We have one about an hour away, it is always fun to check out all the unique stuff they have available. I'm sure the store will be a success in your area.

This will really be something to see and visit. I remember when a store opened in my area, Mary Ann and I went and spend most of a whole day there. You are right about the good food too.  It is an amazing store.

Nice headline, Renee.  Buns and balls will always get my attention!  I'm jealous as we have no Ikea close by.

I look forward to stopping in on one of my trips down to Vegas. I doubt I will buy much since it's a long way to bring it back home. I'll have to stick to buying at the nearest Ikea to Reno, which is in Sacramento.

LOVE IKEA - when I lived in Germany so long ago, all of our children's room furniture came from IKEA as did our bookshelves.

Renee - Our Ikea is about an hour away, but it's well worth the drive. I bought Chase and Aidan's bedroom sets there along with all of the furniture for our man cave.
