Nevada Real Estate >> Las Vegas Real Estate Specialist: Who is the Coolest Dude Who Wears Curtain Shoes on Active Rain?

Who is the Coolest Dude Who Wears Curtain Shoes on Active Rain?

Everyone knows him so why do I even have to say his name?  I remember he was the first person to welcome me on AR.  I was so impressed by his calm and cool attitude.

He made such an impression that I mentioned his name to the second person from AR who called me and I was told "oh he specializes in hard money loans so that is what he does mostly."

So that is what I thought.

Until I called him about a month and a half later and asked if he did VA loans.  I may have needed an LO in a pinch that weekend.  Well of course he does!  He also explained the 3% funding fee and other options that were available and comparable products.

Since then I have called him about a bunch of other weird scenarios.  Of course he knows about all of those products and would go into great detail about them.  I have started to link to his website with my internet leads today even if I don't have their contact information other than their email address.

I am convinced that this guy knows everything about everything mortgage!  I feel bad because I have not had the privilege to close a transaction with him yet but I have the confidence that he can get the job done and if he can't he will be truthful from the start!  He is calm, cool and collected and isn't used car salesman slick like some mortgage brokers seem.

No loan seems to be too big or small.  No difficult scenario seems to be a challenge.

Thank you Brian Brady!

Way back when there was this silly race for 3rd place in Michigan and Brian actually decided to pull for JP over me.  But I forgave him.  I've been gone from AR for a long time but do remember Brian being a wonderful wealth of knowledge.

Good for you Renee - and I have to propose another title for a new Blog...."Who is the Coolest Duddess that wears the biggest smile on Active Rain and is the sweetest Lady?"  Should you need to ask?  It is Renee Burrows silly!

Hey Brian, what do you know about Portable mortgages? They are the default in Canada and only Etrade has them here (but with a ton of restrictions).

Imagine, a 30 year fixed that you can take with you if you move to another house within 30 years.

Sara:  Thanks for sharing that :)

George:  I hope you caught he was the coolest dude who wears curtain shoes.  I have to cover myself because there are TOO MANY cool dudes on AR but I bet they don't wear curtain shoes.  Thanks for the on the side tutoring you have been giving me :wink wink nod nod:  I have been entirely too busy to concentrate and start implementing but you do definitely get close to runner up status, if you wear curtain shoes :)

Frank:  that sounds interesting!  I didn't even tell Brian I was doing this or he may not know ...yet!

Wow!  Thanks, Renee.  This is a nice compliment.

Frank, I do know about portables but the state specific laws make them near impossible to execute here.  The legal costs are prohibitive that it is almost always cheaper to get the new loan.  This issue comes up about every 3-4 years.

Renee, what pray tell is Curtain Shoes and what size do they come in?

Renee, WOW, what a post.  And what does this post say about the person who wrote it?  Your an awesome lady.  Such kindness sure went a long way with this one.  I know how important it is to be a L.O. that will let you know where you and your client stand.  Professionalism in this business is a must.  It is refreshing to see such dedication here.  Thanks for sharing!

ActiveRain has been (and is) a wonderful opportunity to get to know others in the real estate industry, to learn from them, and hopefully to work with them.

Renee, this is such a sweet post.  GO Brian!!  You're a great gal, Renee.

I have the same quesiton as Danny.  What on earth are curtain shoes?  And do you think Imelda Marcos had a pair?

What the heck are curtain shoes???  I'm sure someone will come along and enlighten me.  Nice post--it's always nice to recognize excellence by our peers.

Here is Brian's post on Curtain Shoes.  I laughed pretty hard when I read that back in December trying to imagine this suspender wearing mortgage guy being Oh, So San Diego.  Those shoes are way cool!

Brian:  Thanks for everything and clarifying the portables :)

Danny:  Read the post above!  He has a clickable link to the vendor.  I think Curtain Shoes may be more of a San Diego thing than a Texas thing but let us know if you get some!

Bob:  This place is so wonderful in SO many ways for what it has done for my business and the connections I have made, I cannot even explain in one or two sentences!

Sharon:  Agreed 100%!!!

Maggie:  Thanks :)  Hmmmmm Imelda.  I do suspect these are a beachy thing and I don't know if she was into beachy :)

Diane:  Brian is a very smart dude and he wrote about them in December.   In between his intellectual writings he posts some pretty great breaks and this was one of them.  I remember this was the first time I saw his personality shine when I read it!

Edited:

Ann:  You snuck in the back door:  THANKS!

I just wanted to add this because it is definitely noteworthy and Brian didn't post it here:

Brian Brady is announcing the first Economics of Real Estate Carnival.  This Blog Carnival is open to Active Rain Members who post submissions to the Economics of Real Estate Group dated Friday, February 23, 2006 through Monday, February  26, 2006.

Ah, "curtain shoes" - I checked them out on that link, and they are, ah, interesting looking shoes, that's for sure....... I think I would have had a different definition of them.  But, hey, whatever floats one's boat, eh?

Must be a west coast thing, I would guess......   ;-)

Funny!

Ok Renee, I will hop on the Brian Brady applause train. I have spoken with Brian several times. A couple of months ago he was helping one of my sellers get a loan for new construction. This loan was just a standby loan in case I couldn't get her home sold in time to close on the new build. Didn't matter to Brian. He gave my seller his full attention. Anyway it turned out we didn't need the loan after all.

Well 2 weeks ago my seller had to go to CA to see her son and Brian Brady was kind enough to take her out to lunch and make her feel really at home. My seller has to go back out in March and Brian has offered to "watch her back" for me.  So there you have it. Brian Brady, great guy and super mortgage man.

Great testimony to a great guy. I met Brian face-to-face in Long Beach at the on-line marketing seminar. No opportunity to do a deal yet but he is on MY list for sure.

Way to go, Renee. I'm sure Brian appreciates the accolades that are clearly well deserved.

Ann:  Must be!

BB:  He is a stand up, most patient guy!

Jeff:  I am sure he does!

Alexander:  WOW!  Glad you found that!

Brian is definitely the Dennis Miller of Mortgage Bloggers!  He sure beats the heck out of John Madden obsessing over Turducken for weeks before a major holiday!  If you anyone hasn't caught his blog posts, they are well worth a read through.

Quite the diplomat, Brian always contributes in a smart, respectful manner.  Pats on the back for Brian, and for you, Renee for honoring him.
